Tiffany Pearl Manning has announced her candidacy for Montgomery County Commissioner in District 18, launching a campaign built around responsible growth, accountable leadership, public safety, and infrastructure improvements.

Manning is seeking to represent District 18 on the Montgomery County Commission in the Aug. 6 election.

"As our county continues to grow, we have an opportunity to make smarter investments that strengthen our neighborhoods and improve our quality of life," Manning said in announcing her campaign. She added that she is committed to "serving with integrity, listening to residents, and working collaboratively to address the challenges facing our growing community," naming affordable housing, expanded childcare, and safer roads and sidewalks, including better-lit streets, as priorities.

Manning framed her run as a call for steady, dependable leadership that residents can trust, describing it as leadership that stays transparent, accountable, and focused on the community rather than shifting with the political winds.

A public servant with more than a decade of experience across law enforcement, behavioral health, and education, Manning currently works as a law enforcement professional in Davidson County, where she supports educational programming and rehabilitation initiatives. She holds a Bachelor of Science in criminal justice from Tennessee State University and completed graduate-level leadership coursework at Trevecca Nazarene University.

She said her career serving individuals and families has shown her the value of responsive government that listens, plans responsibly, and invests in the people it serves, and she pledged to bring practical leadership, fiscal responsibility, and community-focused solutions to the commission.

A resident of District 18 since 2018, Manning is a mother of two and a member of St. John Missionary Baptist Church. Her campaign enters the race with endorsements from SEIU Local 205 and The Equity Alliance Fund.
